Transport Fever 3 gameplay: confirmed features
A pre-release guide to confirmed transport, modes, environments, and mod support.

Building a network
Transport Fever 3 is announced as a transport-network game for passengers and freight. For clarity, this guide groups the announced vehicles into five practical families: rail, road, water, fixed-wing air, and helicopter transport. Official material specifically names trains, buses, trams, trucks, ships, planes, and helicopters. See the official First Look feature announcement.
The published modes are Tycoon, Sandbox, and Campaign. The current FAQ says the campaign has eight missions and begins with an introduction to the mechanics. The game's overall setting begins in 1900 and continues through 2030 and beyond; the FAQ also describes the game as single-player. Read the official FAQ and the official game overview.
Announced systems and settings
The four confirmed environments are temperate, desert, tropical, and subarctic. In Tycoon mode, official material connects town growth with transport demand, congestion, noise, pollution, and resident satisfaction; it also says players can adjust the impact of selected systems. Published feature descriptions also mention company progression, headquarters upgrades, landmarks, optional contracts, subsidies, and automatic maintenance within suitable facility coverage. These are announced features, not advice based on a finished save or a performance test. Read Paradox's Tycoon feature release.
Mods and data limits
The current FAQ announces an in-game mod.io browser for cross-platform mod support and says Steam Workshop will not be included. It is safer to follow that current FAQ than older material while platform support is still being finalized. Official mod support FAQ.
Official vehicle totals are not consistent: Steam says 275+, while the current FAQ and a publisher feature release say 300+. This guide therefore says hundreds of vehicles and does not claim a complete roster, vehicle statistics, profitability formula, or data-mined values.
